OPERATIONS MANAGER - Thursday, January 14, 2010
Seeking an experienced candidate for a non-profit organization. We serve the community assisting people in recovery from alcoholic and drug addiction.  Seeking someone who is highly motivated and who can operate under guidance from the board of directors with general supervision. Job duties include, but are not limited to: coordinating volunteer corps, management of the café, collecting rent from club users, organizing special events geared toward the recovery community and outreach to other recovery programs. Qualifications: management experience, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to enforce club rules, extraordinary communication skills. Knowledge of the recovery community is a plus, but is not required. Salary is $40,000-$50,000 DOE, benefits included. The Alano Club needs community participation.  Rent from meetings covers only a small portion of the Club’s expenses.  Support from foundations and individuals is required for the Club’s survival.  Moreover, gifts from foundations will continue only if the Club can demonstrate support from individuals within the community.

For those inside the 12-Step community, there is no greater gift than ensuring an accessible and safe place to go for those seeking recovery.
